Dr. Laurene Chua-Garcia is the Vice President for External Relations and Internationalization of De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila and heads the Internationalization Committee in the Asia-Pacific Region for the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU). She also represented the Philippines on behalf of its Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in various assignments with University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) and ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS). Her academic training is a blend of influences not just from DLSU but also the United States and Europe. While teaching with the Psychology Department at the University, her expertise was shared with various other academic departments. She is also an effective resource speaker and consultant (financial psychology, M&A) with clients from private corporations, non-profits, and government institutions. Dr. Chua-Garcia brings a blend of experiences from both academe and industry to her current post. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychologists, and the Psychological Association of the Philippines. Her community engagement activities include working with Rotary, the Jaycees and the Tzu Chi Foundation.
